Jose P. Graduate Scholarship Program

The Jose P. Graduate Scholarship Program was created to address the staffing needs in critical shortage areas and to improve the delivery of service to New York City Public School students. This program prepares participants to serve in the areas of Bilingual Special Education, Monolingual and Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology, Blind and Visually Impaired, and Bilingual School Psychology. The scholarship program offers uncertified candidates a traditional path to certification by way of a Master's degree in a traditional teaching or clinical shortage area.

KSTF Teaching Fellowship Grants and stipend

KSTF provides beginning high school STEM teachers with five-year fellowships designed to help them become master teacher and leaders. These “backbone” teachers reach thousands of students each year, take on leadership roles improving math and science education from the classroom and strengthen the teaching profession.

Phi Delta Kappa $500-5000

PDK International supports educators throughout the arc of their career and the PDK Educational Foundation  endowed scholarship program provides  financial assistance for undergraduate and advanced degree education to those pursuing careers in K – 12 public education. Applicants must be a member in good standing of one of the following  associations:  Educators RisingEducators Rising Collegiate,  Pi Lambda Theta, and/or PDK Association;

AFCEA STEM Teachers Scholarships $2500

The AFCEA Educational Foundation is offering competitive based scholarships of $2,500 each to students actively pursuing a graduate degree or credential/licensure for the purpose of teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) subjects at a U.S. school in grades K-12.

Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship

$1250-1750

Since 1995, the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance has awarded scholarships to outstanding undergraduate and graduate student members. The Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship, developed by the past presidents of AAHPERD to honor deserving students, is awarded to three undergraduate students and two graduate students in January of each year. All scholarships are presented at the AAHPERD National Convention & Exposition held in the spring. Undergraduate awards are $1,250 each and graduate awards are $1,750 each. Recipients also receive a complimentary three-year AAHPERD membership.

James Madison Graduate Fellowships $24,000

The James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation offers $24,000 James Madison Graduate Fellowships to individuals desiring to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution at the secondary school level. Fellowship applicants compete only against other applicants from the states of their legal residence. As funding permits, the Foundation plans to offer one fellowship per state per year.

Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship Up to $2000

The Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship was established in the memory of the late Agnes Jones Jackson who was a long time NAACP member from the San Francisco branch. Applicant must be a member of NAACP. Open to undergrad and graduate students.

Nancy Larson Foundation Scholarship $1000

The Nancy Larson Foundation is proud to sponsor scholarships for college students studying to become elementary school teachers. Juniors, seniors, and graduate students who have declared an elementary education major are invited to apply.

New York State Math & Science Teaching Incentive Program Around $7000

The NYS Math and Science Teaching Incentive Program is offered to encourage students to pursue careers as math and science teachers in secondary education (grades 7-12). Awards are made to students attending school at the undergraduate and/or graduate degree level in exchange for five years of full-time employment as math or science teachers in secondary education in NYS.
