Funding Your College Education: Business

Through the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship, the ACFE Foundation supports the education of students who have an interest in pursuing a career in fraud examination. The scholarship provides an opportunity for students to advance their education and anti-fraud career paths. Open to undergraduates.

Open to currently enrolled students working toward a degree (AA,AS, BA,BS, MS, PhD) in a field of business. Business may include (but is not limited to): Accounting, Advertising, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, International Relations, Management, Political Science, Public Relations, etc. Minimum 3.0 GPA.

The John L. Carey Scholarship provides financial assistance to liberal arts and non-business degree holders who are pursuing both graduate studies in accounting and the CPA licensure. This award is funded by the AICPA Foundation and is intended to encourage students with little or no previous accounting education to consider professional accounting careers.

The AICPA Minority Scholarship awards outstanding minority students to encourage their selection of accounting as a major and their ultimate entry into the profession. Open to undergraduate and graduate accounting students.

Jeffrey L. Esser Career Development Scholarship is meant to advance the public finance careers of individuals employed at least three years by one or more state or local governments. In 1985, the GFOA's executive board voted to create the Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship to recognize outstanding performances by graduate program students preparing for a career in state and local government finance. Open to full-time graduate students.

The program operates at the Zonta club, district/region and international levels. Zonta annually awards up to 32 scholarships of US$2,000 each at the district/region level and six international scholarships in the amount of US$8,000 each. The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships are awarded annually and may be used for tuition, books or living expenses at any university, college or institution offering accredited business courses and degrees.

In 1996, the Mas family established a scholarship whose purpose is to advance the education of talented young Cuban and Cuban American men and women, furthering their commitment to promoting the benefits and opportunities that can be garnered through hard work in a free society. The Launching Leaders undergraduate program offers students who self-identify as Black, Hispanic and Native American a valuable introduction to a successful career in financial services, along with an award and internship opportunities. The LAGRANT Foundation (TLF) will award 50 scholarships in 2021 in celebration of its 23rd anniversary. Of the 50 scholarships, (30) ethnic minority undergraduate students will receive scholarships of $2,500 each and (20) graduate students will receive scholarships of $3,750 each. Students must be attending four-year accredited institutions in the U.S. and majoring in the fields of advertising, marketing or public relations.

The National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA) provides scholarship funds to deserving undergraduate or graduate students of African American descent preparing to enter business professions.

The NSA Scholarship Foundation works to build career paths into and within the accounting profession. With its scholarship awards, the Foundation assists dedicated undergraduate students who are committed to a career in accounting by providing financial assistance to support their education.

The purpose of the Excellence in Accounting Scholarship of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and its Foundation for Accounting Education (FAE) is to provide financial assistance to encourage and aid deserving candidates to enter the accounting profession. Accordingly, scholarship awards will be based heavily on financial need. Applicants must be residents of New York State and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate accounting program in New York State.

The Surety and Fidelity Industry Scholarship Program for Minority Students provides awards of up to $5000 to outstanding undergraduate minority students to support their studies in the areas of insurance/risk management, accounting, or business/finance and to encourage their consideration of the surety and fidelity industry and surety/fidelity underwriting as a career choice.

The Actuarial Diversity Scholarship promotes diversity within the profession through an annual scholarship program for Black/African American, Hispanic, Native North American and Pacific Islander undergraduate students pursing an actuarial career.

This scholarship supports youth who have experienced homelessness or/has been part of the foster care system pursuing a career in live entertainment. Fields of study may include but are not limited to live event operations, production, music engineering, music business management, customer service, or hospitality.
