U.S. Supreme Court - This is the official website for the U.S. Supreme Court containing information about the court, decisions, rules, history and more.

Law Library of Congress Guide to Law Online: 

Congress.gov -   Use this website to find Bills, Resolutions, Activity in Congress, the Congressional Record, Schedules, Calendars, Committee Information and more.

USA.gov - Use to find official U.S. government information, programs, and services.  

Law School Legal Research Sources

Legal Information Institute at Cornell Law School A small not-for-profit group that believes everyone should be able to read and understand the laws that govern them, without cost. Georgetown Law Library: Research Guides, Treatise Finders, & Tutorials - One of the top law schools in the U.S., Georgetown Law Library has an extensive selection of guides on a wide range of topics in State, Federal, International and Foreign Law. They also provide video tutorials to many topics in legal research. 

NYU Law: Research Guides - Another leading law school in the U.S., NYU Law Library has a good selection of guides for legal research in State (particularly NY State), Federal, International and Foreign Law.
