There are over 150 computers installed in the Library for public use, which are connected through the LIU network. In addition, there are printers, scanners and servers to support library operations.
Computers on all three floors of the library: Research computers equipped with productivity software such as wording processing, spreadsheet and presentation programs are available to all users of the library.
Library Cyber Lab: The Library Cyber Lab (718 488 1882) located on the fifth of LLC is open to all LIU students. Computers and instructional technology in the library instruction lab.
Library Instruction Labs: Library instruction sessions are taught in the instruction labs on the fifth floor of the LLC. These "Smart" classrooms are equipped with Smart Boards, projection systems, instructor's consoles and research workstations.
ADA compliant workstation: The ADA-compliant workstation (available in the Reference Room) is equipped with specialized software such as Kurzweil, ZoomText, and JAWS, as well as a printer and a scanner.
Printers: Printing from the web-based databases is also available on the third floor. Please limit your print jobs to 10-page documents. Larger print jobs create time consuming jams and delays.
Scanners: Scanning is available at the Printing station in the Reference Room on the third third floor of the Library.
Copiers: There are self-service copiers available for public use on all three floors.
