The Reference Department is located on the third floor of the library and houses the Reference Desk, Secured Reference Collection, the paralegal research collection, and all theses and dissertations by LIU Brooklyn Campus graduate students.
The Reference Department is where you will find reference librarians to help you locate the print and electronic resources you will need to begin and, in most cases, complete your research. Reference librarians are on duty at the Reference Desk every hour that the Library is open.

In the Reference Room, you will see the room housing the paralegal research collection (LLC 308-2). Traditional reference tools such as general and specialized encyclopedias, dictionaries, bibliographies, biographies, etc., may be found in the Quiet Study Room (LLC 308-1) on the 3rd floor.
