WELCOME TO INTERLIBRARY LOANS

Need a book not located in the LIU Brooklyn Campus catalog? No worries!

The Interlibrary Loan department (ILL) of the Brooklyn Campus is here to facilitate students, facutly and staff in obtaining materials not available at the Brooklyn Campus.

Through our interlibrary loan service request can be made to other libraries holding the material you need. We will have the item sent to the Brooklyn campus from one of the other LIU campuses via courier, or a participating OCLC institution. OCLC is a nationwide computerized network of more than 3,000 libraries. Using OCLC we can locate bibliographic information for more than 55 million records, determine which libraries have a particular item and request it using the World Wide Web.

Before you submit an interlibrary loan form for a book request you need to check the , LIU Libraries' Online Catalog. You also may need to check the Card Catalog for books published before 1980.
