Off-campus access for databases and electronic resources: The way for current LIU students, faculty and staff to access online databases and e-resources has changed. LIU library users will be able to login with their full LIU email credentials (SSO with Duo) to access the Libraries' online resources such as first.last@liu.edu or first.last@my.liu.edu. This new authentication method is also used for users to log into their library accounts. 

Access to LIU Libraries' electronic resources:

Licensed databases and electronic resources are for current LIU faculty, students and staff.

Using the Libraries' online databases and e-resources from off-campus is now easier than ever!

For Non-LIU library users who do not have an LIU University ID, please continue to use your library credentials (barcode and pin) to access your library account online.

FAQs:

What do I do if my email login doesn't work when I try to access Libraries' online resources?

If you have an LIU University ID card (virtual or physical card), please contact the Circulation Department of your campus library to create or update your library account with your University ID. 

How do I find my University ID number? 

Your University ID number is available via your MyLIU account or your paystubs. 

I am an LIU student. Where can I find my University ID number?

As a registered student, you will be able to locate your University ID number via your MyLIU account. 

I am faculty/staff/administrator. Where do I find my University ID number?

As an LIU employee, you will be able to locate your University ID number on your paystub, via your ERP account or from your department.

With my University ID number, do I still need to stop by the Library Circulation Desk to get a barcode?

No, as a student/faculty/staff/administrator, you don't need to get a barcode anymore. You need to present your new University ID# at the Library Circulation Desk when you check out print or media materials.

Do I have a University ID number if I am a student? What do I do if I don’t have a University ID number?

As a registered student, you will be given a University ID (including a virtual LIU ID). If you don't have a University ID, please visit Enrollment Services.
